DESIGNATION: Rosso IGT Veneto
GRAPES: Merlot 55%, Cabernet Sauvignon 45%
TYPE: dry and still red wine
FARMING: organic agriculture not yet certified
SOIL: volcanic rocks and basalts
HARVEST: hand picking
WINE MAKING PROCESS: the two varieties are vinified separetely. The bunches are destemmed and than crushed. The alcoholic fermentation is done with selected yeasts at controlled temperature. During the fermentation we pump over the must and manually punch down the skins cap many times a day in order to encourage efficient extraction of colour and flavour components. The blending is done before the aging phase starts.
AGING: one year in fine grain, medium toasted French oak barriques.
BOTTLES/YEAR: about 5,000
THE WINE - Color: shining ruby red. Bouquet: fruity notes of plum and blackberry and floral aromas of elderflower and violet; final hints of sweet spices (vanilla and cinnamon). Taste and aftertaste: round and velvety, our Rossodivino is particularly interesting for its well-balanced minerality; the aftertaste is elegant and pleasantly lasting.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-18° C
BOSCODIVINO - PURE NATURE: we don’t use any systemic pesticides, herbicides nor animal manure; no product of animal origin (e.g. clarifiers, stabilizers) is used in the production of all our wines.
